The climate of the Tuscan hinterland is temperate, with frequent drought summers. At Cappella Sant’Andrea we don’t tend to have a wide temperature range that can give a peculiar fragrance to our white wines, but it is the perfect climate to create a Vernaccia white wine with personality, elegance and longevity.
A man from another time, who built his life on solid and honest foundations; a man with outstanding fair and honest principles. Giovanni, with his father Renato, bought our farm in 1959. He spent his entire life working and looking after his family, to him all our admiration
The helping hand. A woman able of a stubborn love for her dears. She was always caring and very respectful of the others, and she taught us the hospitality and the passion for cooking.
Always smiling at life. “If there is a solution, why getting angry? If there isn’t a solution, why getting angry?” Thanks to the example of grandma’ Cocca, we never get upset for life’s false steps. We always carry on with a smile.
The goodnight kiss. She used to be a vocation’s teacher, sweet, motherly and cuddly. We think about grandma’ Anna to remind ourselves that we live for love.
From the sky falls the water that quenches the vineyards, and up in the sky shines the sun that gilds the bunches of vernaccia; then the moon and the stars set the workers’ steps in the vineyard and the lifecycle of the wine in the cellar.
From the sky also arrives the gaze of our dear ones that preceded us in loving our land and that left us important seeds: passion for wine, everyday goodwill, the humility to admire and appreciate the nature’s wonders. They are in our thoughts during adverse winds.
